Maintenance work in Triq Sant’Andrija Pembroke

Following the maintenance work carried out in Triq Sant’Andrija Pembroke,  Transport Malta will apply the wearing course tomorrow Wednesday 25thMay, between 20:00hrs and 06:00hrs. 

 Traffic towards St. Paul’s Bay will be diverted onto Triq Normandy and onto Triq Falaise.  During works, traffic in Triq Falaise will proceed in one direction only towards Triq Sant’ Andrija, Pembroke.

Traffic from St. Paul’s Bay will be diverted onto Triq Suffolk towards the traffic lights in Pembroke.  During works, traffic in Triq Suffolk between Triq Sant’Andrija and Triq Falaise will proceed in one direction only towards Triq Alamein.

Kappara: Works in Rue D\’Argens

Maintenance Work in Triq D’Argens Gżira

Maintenance work will be carried out  in Triq D’Argens tonight between 19:00hrs and 06:00hrs. Work is related to the preparatory works for the Kappara Project.

Road will not be closed to traffic but parking in Triq D’Argens will not be allowed.

Drivers are advised to proceed with caution and to use alternative routes.

Works in Valley Road Msida

Maintenance work in Triq il-Wied L-Imsida

Maintenance works in Triq il-Wied L-imsida will be carried out tonight between 20:00hrs and 05:30hrs.

Traffic towards L-Imsida will be diverted onto Triq Mikiel Anton Vassalli.  Traffic from Birkirkara to L-Imsida will proceed from the slip way and onto Triq Reġjonali.

 Drivers are therefore encouraged to seek alternative routes and reminded to drive carefully at all times but especially when driving through works sites.

Resurfacing the alternative routes

The first traffic disruptions of the Kappara project will happen after mid May. Transport Malta has prepared a series of alternative routes for commuters.  In the video above, workers are resurfacing Triq ix-Xatt ta\’ Xbiex.  Works on the alternative routes are mostly carried out at night to cause less disruption.

Transport Malta is resurfacing the following roads for the alternative routes.

Line Markings in St. Julian\’s and Birkirkara

Line markings in St. Julian’s and Birkirkara

Painting of line markings will be carried out in Triq Mikiel Anton Vassalli St. Julian’s, from the tunnels up to Paceville junction and in Triq in-Naxxar Birkirkara.

Works in Triq in-Naxxar Birkirkara will be carried out tomorrow between 08:00hrs and 17:00hrs.  No road closure will take place however, during works, Triq il-Wied Birkirkara direction to Naxxar, may be temporarily closed to traffic and vehicles will be diverted onto Triq il-Wied Ħal Balzan.

Works in Triq Mikiel Anton Vassalli San Ġiljan will be carried out on Friday 1st April between 08:00hrs and 17:00hrs.  No road closure will take place.

Drivers are to follow instructions by the officials on site.

Next phase of preparatory works in Triq Birkirkara related to Kappara Junction Project

Preparatory works in Triq Birkirkara, related to the Kappara Junction project will continue next week.   

Triq Birkirkara San Ġwann will be completely closed to vehicular traffic between Monday 15 and Saturday 27th February 2016 due to scarifying and asphalting works.

Public transport:

Route 120 from St. Julian’s to Mater Dei Hospital and return, will be diverted onto Triq R. Caruana Dingli to Triq Bellavista.  Route 110 will provide service between San Ġwann centre and Mater Dei Hospital.

Motorists are advised to follow diversion signs and instructions given by the officers on site.

T\’Alla u Ommu road is open

T’Alla u Ommu road is now open for vehicles

Transport Malta would like to advise that T’Alla u Ommu Hill is now open to traffic.

Drivers are advised to drive with caution as there are still ongoing works and investigations on the road between T’Alla u Ommu Hill and Triq is-Salini. Substantial works to the storm water system within this road has been carried out.

Given the extensive damage encountered, it is not excluded that Transport Malta will have to carry out further works based on tests, over the coming months.

More Resurfacing In Mrieħel Bypass

Maintenance works in L-Imrieħel bypass

Transport Malta will be resurfacing parts of L-Imrieħel bypass direction from Ħ’Attard to Ħal Qormi.

Road will be completely closed to traffic tonight between 19:30hrs and 05:00hrs.

Motorists are advised to proceed with caution.

Transport Malta will carry out maintenance work in Triq San Pawl, St. Paul’s Bay.

The road will be closed to traffic at night between 19:00hrs and 05:00hrs.  Works will be carried out between today and Wednesday 18 November.
