Following the success of the previous European mobility Week editions, Transport Malta in conjunction with the Ministry for Transport, Infrastructure and Capital Projects is once again launching its Annual Competitions as part of the European Mobility Week 2019. Similar to last year, a competition for the implementation of Permanent Sustainability Mobility Measures and a competition for the organisation of EMW Events and Activities are being launched.
Every year, the European Commission selects a theme which each EU Member State follows in their organisation and planning of the European Mobility Week. The theme for 2019 is SAFE WALKING, SAFE CYCLING thus focusing on active mobility.
Transport Malta is inviting all Local Councils from Malta and Gozo to submit their proposals to implement sustainable mobility measures and/or organise EMW events and activities which may include a Car Free Day following the Safe Walking, Safe Cycling theme.
