Vacancies at TM

Media and Communications Manager

The chosen candidate will be required to manage the public relations and communication of Transport Malta.  The candidate will also be responsible for the planning, development and implementation of PR and communication (internal and external) strategies and policies.

Applicants for this post must be in possession of the following:-

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualifications
  • Degree level qualification in either Management, Communications and Public Relations, Public Policy or Social Sciences

Or

  • Experience
    • At least 10 years proven experience in a similar management post
    • Proven experience in Government Regulations concerning freedom of information and related matters

Projects Manager – Smiths Project

Jobsplus Permit:  153/2019                            Vacancy Number: 345991

The chosen candidate will coordinate the implementation of the assigned projects in its entirety according to the rules and regulations set by the respective Funding Programmes, the approved projects and the respective Grant Agreements. The role includes the coordination of all aspects of the project implementation including: the physical implementation of the project, projects supervision and supervision of contractors. The coordination of the public procurement process, ensuring the effective disbursement of funds and sound management of assigned project’s budget and maintain set deadlines and standards during the implementation of actions and contracted project deliverables.  Coordinate and oversee subcontractors’ deliverables by (among other measures) carrying out site visits, certify subcontractors’ works on behalf of the Authority, coordinate and follow up on permits required by PA/ERA and other relevant entities, coordinate and compile as necessary the progress, financial and monitoring reporting as required. Assist as necessary in the implementation of other projects, be they EU or nationally funded.

  • Warranted Perit/Civil Engineer
  • Three (3) years proven experience in Project Management in the field of Transport / Civil Engineering / Geography or a related field

Administrator – ICT

Jobsplus Permit:  228/2019                            Vacancy Number: 346710

The chosen candidate will be responsible for the day to day running of the Computers, Telephone Network Infrastructure and Network services of the Authority and to ensure that they function smoothly. The job holder will be supervising the available resources (human, material and systems) in the diagnosing, maintaining and repairing, digital equipment and / or any ICT related hardware pertaining to TM related parties and reporting status and analysis.

  • Qualifications
  • A recognized Diploma (MQF Level 5) in ICT studies from a recognized institution and a good level of general education.
  • Experience
  • Experience in ICT support will be considered an asset.
